They have a general purpose of increasing awareness and understanding of water quality issues and environmental policy changes through community engagement and information transfer. While each group is different, it is not a \u2018one size fits all\u2019 model, and they have developed for slightly different reasons, there are many commonalities with goals, strengths, challenges, and learnings tending to be the same. All of these voluntarily led groups are engaging with multiple organisations seeking science and policy information so they can help ensure water quality is protected now and for future generations.
