The most up to date available data was used to produce this using the <\/SPAN><A href=\"https://contentapi.datacomsphere.com.au:443/v1/h%3Aes/repository/libraries/id:26gi9ayo517q9stt81sd/files/id:2mesegpp61cxbya8zoas\" target=\"_blank\" STYLE=\"text-decoration:underline;\"><SPAN>2018 method<\/SPAN><\/A><SPAN>.  <\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN STYLE=\"font-weight:bold;\">Data Collection and Sources:<\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>This layer was constructed using a combination of multiple national and local datasets, including: <\/SPAN><\/P><UL><LI><P><SPAN>LINZ Primary Parcel Data - Legal land parcel boundaries are used as a spatial base for mapping.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>Environment Southland Resource Consent Database - Used for dairy effluent consents (milking platform areas) and industrial discharge areas.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>AgriBase™ survey data from AsureQuality Ltd.  <\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>Environment Southland Rates Database - Identifies residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, public use, lifestyle, and forestry blocks in urban and rural areas.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>Department of Conservation protected areas \u2013 this layer is maintained by LINZ.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><LI><P><SPAN>QEII National Trust Covenants areas - spatial information on covenanted land areas used in mapping conservation land.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/LI><\/UL><P><SPAN /><\/P><P><SPAN STYLE=\"font-weight:bold;\">Internal Information:<\/SPAN><SPAN /><\/P><P><SPAN>Created<\/SPAN><SPAN> by Environment Southland on <\/SPAN><SPAN>11/08<\/SPAN><SPAN>/2025<\/SPAN><SPAN>.  <\/SPAN><\/P><P><SPAN>The accuracy is dependent on the input layers.
